What's marketing

What Is Marketing?
Is it branding or advertising, bullshitting or whitewashing?

Or, is Marketing, in essence, a combination of things to bring a product to market - in order to serve a group of people with a particular need [sad kids]?

If it starts with learning and listening, that’s research.[Marketer listening to sad kids]

If it involve product development, then that’s the testing [M dressed as circus clown, tries a trick, kids smiling a bit]

If a circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying “Circus Coming” that’s advertising.

If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk it through town, [1] and the newspaper writes about it [in newspaper], that’s publicity. 

If you have different tickets to sell to different people, that's intelligent pricing.

If you increase revenue by charging student and old folks less, thats price discrimination

If you offer free popcorn for families with kids, that's a promotion.
